The hotel was acceptable, but you definitely get what you pay for. The check in process was very smooth with someone able to help me and multiple kiosks to self check in and print keys. They also offered early check in 4-5 hours before checkin time for a fee which was appreciated. When I got to my room and called the bellman, I received my bag in less than 10 minutes which was pretty impressive given the size of the place. Overall great customer service from everyone I interacted with during checkin. On the other hand, the rooms are very outdated in my opinion. If it weren't for the flat screen tv, it would feel like you took a time machine into the 90s. The furniture, bathrooms, decor is all old. The picture I saw on their website when I booked my room was not at all representative of the room I got.

Even if some rooms are updated, they should still use accurate photos for the other rooms. Unlike some other reviewers, I did not have any issues regarding the cleanliness of my room. However the walls are paper thin. You can hear conversations literally word for word in the surrounding rooms. There was also considerable noise coming from outside at night, but I guess that's just Vegas. The convention center areas were all nice, and there were a couple good food options and Starbucks on the property which was convenient. Looking at prices, the Rio is cheaper than most options and offers a more affordable Vegas experience. However, I would rather stay in a more updated property on the strip. I chose to stay here because this hotel served as a shuttle stop for edc Las Vegas, and as a total reward platinum member I receive discounted room prices. I think the room sizes are fair, but the service is sub par.

I originally got a suite with a king bed before o realized my friend wanted to tag along. Because I was staying the weekend of edc, they were fully booked and I could not switch to a suite with two queens. This was fine as I did not mind paying the upcharge for a roll away bed. I asked for the bed at check in and I was assured it would be rolled up shortly. After an hour, I called down to check on the status of the bed and ask for extra towels. The towels arrived promptly but still no bed. I did not want to wait around any longer so before going out to the shuttle for edc i went down to the registration to ask for a third time the status of the bed. The girl working the bed said they would send up the bed even if we weren't in the room as long as the do not disturb sign was up. She also informed us that the couch in the room was a pull out. I had noticed that earlier but also noticed the mattress was gross and there was no extra bedding available to pretend it wasn't disgustingly old and used.

I told her I would prefer the bed for comfort. When the first day of the festival was over and I returned to my room at 6 am almost 10 hours after my interchange with the front desk, I was dismayed to find no sign of an extra bed in my room. I lost my cool and called the front desk to let them know this was the fourth and final time I would ask for the bed. They claimed they had attempted to deliver it but the do not disturb sign was on the door. This infuriated me as My guest and I had been at the festival the whole time and no sign had ever been placed on the door. I furiously demanded they retract their false statements but they seem to respond better to the "let me speak to the manager" form of me than the polite one that asked three times because the bed showed up in ten minutes and was complimentary.

I have stayed here multiple times! The price and location was perfect for what we were doing this trip.. Check in went smoothly and I was warmly greeted and quickly processed. In town for March madness with friends and this place was across from viewing party 2 days Gold coast.. Us Guys don't require much. The room was clean the comfort of the bed was just right and overall was a great experience. This crew works as a team and you can tell someone takes pride in providing a great experience. The staff should be commended! Thank you Rio Hotel and Casino for the weekend lodging. I will definitely look to stay here again! I really like the size of the casino floor , and the E-Sports venue has promise but needs more of a "WoW" factor, you should consider reaching out to Microsoft and seeing if you can get some Hololens experiences.

I really like the food options on property and the buffet is really fabulous. There seems to be a younger crowd at this casino, I feel like the oldest person on the floor at club time , and lots of younger people come out of the nightclub pretty wasted , if you gamble on the floor near the masquerade tower elevator area you'll see all kinds of stuff going on, some of it shady, some of it silly, all of it very Vegas, a lady puked all over the escalator, that poor escalator. Did I mention all the great restaurant options? This resort is close to the strip but not really walking distance you can walk, but it's about a mile away and the pedestrian crossing isn't very nice , it needs an upgrade. Speaking of upgrade , this hotel is huge and I look forward to visiting and watching it change for years to come.

Worst customer i've experienced checking into a hotel in Las Vegas! We have over 50 people in line waiting to check in and only two people working the front desk worst management ever! First impressions mean a lot. Due diligence: I was arriving late for checkin so I called ahead to alert the hotel. I arrive at 12: So no I'm not self parking when I pay a resort fee to stay here. Valet does a 'solid' and allows my car in. They are slow as molasses! The line is wrapped around to the entrance. And express checkin isn't working. At least not for the majority of us poor, tired souls stuck in this punishment line. Shame on you Rio for not staffing appropriately to accommodate your bookings. The line will be one less person. First and last time staying here. Haven't even gotten to the room! Finally in my room but.... I requested 2 beds, they only have one KING. You had one job and you do this daily. Why are you so bad at it from first engagement to next? Apologies to poor Damien from North Carolina.

You're just the messenger tried not to totally go off. You were quick and courteous, with great follow thru. Your professionalism and calm will get you far; I hope to another establishment worthy of your time. You suck, Rio! Prime rib was good on the first pass. The second time it was not as good. Cute selection of desserts- prettier than the Paris buffet - except no crepes. Asian foods were better than I thought they would be. Elvis PB ice cream is good. Ate here as part of the 24 hr buffet pass. You have to get the total rewards card for each person for the discount. Children 4 and under are free. The view by itself is Five Stars After that tho... The rooms are dated... My husband and I booked a regular room, however, when we arrived, we asked about an upgrade. They made us an offer we could not pass up, a suite on the 28th floor. The rooms are dated, still nice, unfortunately, not overly clean carpet stains, wall stains, roach on the run but the view! The view is worth it.

We had a view in the bedroom, bathroom, living room and dining room that is absolutely priceless! The bed was comfortable. The shower is a little claustrophobic and the jet tub is a little outdated. Had to let the shower run for a good 10 minutes before we got hot water. If not for the cleanliness and the bugs most hotels, I really believe have bugs, whether they were born here or brought here by the guests this would be a five star hotel but because of those things... I absolutely love this place We have traveled to Vegas five times in the past 18 months and the past 4 we've stayed at Rio. They are conveniently located right off the strip easy to get in and out of. Excellent dining options and bars for great cocktails. Kiss mini golf.

Penn and Teller. Wow show. The views from the top of the parking garage are some of the best in the city The Rio hotel has seen better days. I recently stayed for a couple of nights and while the rooms are nice and large they are not that modern. I think it has been a few years since they have been updated. All of the rooms are suites and they have great floor to ceiling windows - which may be the best feature. The views are great. This time I had a view overlooking the pool area. The beds are nice enough, the housekeeping was good - but there weren't any modern amenities. The wifi was pretty weak and difficult to use. There was intermittent security by the elevators and the elevators were fast and not crowded. Good place to stay for a few days but not sure I would want to spend my Las Vegas vacation there.

Don't waste your time. I booked a room via the website and was expecting the rooms shown- reasonable thought, right? Imagine my surprise when we arrived to a filthy room that hadn't been updated since the 1970's.... Please see the pictures below from what we expected versus what we received. We complained, they moved us rooms, and promised it'd be much better- we felt relieved until we opened the door to the same outdated, hideous room. Complained again and said the best we could do was to upgrade us to another "suite" for more money, management didn't care otherwise. Should've known when I arrived to a nearly empty parking garage and lobby that there's a reason people don't bother to stay here. It's even more alarming when the hotel spends time to update the rest of the public building areas but the rooms are left outdated and disgusting. We asked where the rooms in the pictures were guessing only part of the hotel had been updated- the front desk guy was completely silent, my husband asked "they don't exist do they" and again he was met with complete silence.

I appreciate nice vintage things, this was misleading, and I'm incredibly irritated that I spent money on this hotel. My group of four stayed here from May 15-21 and we liked this hotel. The Japanese area also offers a variety of noodle dishes. A highlight for many is the made-to-order soup station, where a chef prepares your dish there on the spot. On a recent visit, the extensive soup choices were: You may add a variety of toppings and extras into your dish, including fish, beef, and chicken dumplings. Italian The Italian station has make-your-own Caesar salad bar, which is next to a small, but well-regarded pizza section. American A unique menu item here not found at hardly any other buffet in town is the baked trout. The American station also includes fried shrimp, French fries, chicken wings, mashed potatoes with brown or white gravy, seasoned vegetables, and teriyaki pork ribs.

Carving Station Along with the buffet standard: Unlike other Vegas buffets, Carnival has a wide variety of meat offerings, including grilled pineapple, beef hot dogs, grilled pork belly, mini corn dogs, and chicken sate. So although they have eliminated the seafood upgrade, the buffet here still includes the following seafood items: Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace Price Dessert In addition to the usual assortment of cakes, cookies, cupcakes, mousses, eclairs, Carnival has a great selection of tasty fruit pies including cherry, blueberry, and of course, apple. There is an area of sugar-free desserts as well. Gelato section includes ten different flavors by my count, including a green tea gelato. These are scooped up for you in individual servings, rather than being self-serve, like you see at most buffets.

Unlike years past, the drink station is self-service now. I have yet to visit during this happy hour, however my understanding is that dishes include both hot and cold crab legs, and baked salmon, among other dishes.

The only good thing about the room was the size. I assumed it was decent from the ratings and because it was part of the Cesar's family of hotels, but I was mistaken. A deal isn't always a deal. I wouldn't recommend staying in this hotel. We are currently checked in. No hot water to take a shower. Hardly any amenities to use. Luckily, brought my own. Tiles are falling off the wall in bathroom area. Have air conditioning on 69 it is boiling hot in here. Room furniture is old and dated. Windows are filthy. Can hardly see out. This is our staycation. We are locals. Should have stayed at Flamingo like we usually do. This place is old. Sucks to pay a resort fee for nothing. Don't waste your money. I would check out and go home but we are already unpacked and hungry. Let's see if corporate will respond. Rio is an ok hotel.

A rating on price would be a 5, as it is very reasonable. A rating on quality would be a 3, as it is getting shabby. Friendly staff, great views, so a solid 4 overall. Pictured is shabby furniture and view from my room in the masquerade tower. The room was really a suite and clean. Another positive is free parking and great pool. Nice casino and sports book area. Ate at the snack bar at the sports bar, and food was good. Had a late night flight, so checked my bag with the friendly bell hop. Wifi was slow. Check in at front desk can be slow too. My thought process is clean well used room at great price is worth it. I did a quick Vegas trip to celebrate a friend's birthday. Luckily, one of my friends let me crash with him. I joined him on Friday, January 25th around 1: I believe he booked the following about a month prior: I think we ended up in room 1753. I gotta say, the rooms are still exactly the same. A little old, but spacious as every room here is a suite.

The view from our room was nothing much. Just another part of the hotel and buildings. It was really only a place to crash, so it was fine. The beds were comfy and we had a fridge to store our leftovers. A decent hotel, but definitely in need of an update. Especially with all the nicer hotels on the strip now. Still, a good option if you're looking for a cheap suite. The Rio would not generally be my first choice hotel if I visit Vegas, but I stayed here because of a conference. The hotel was acceptable, but you definitely get what you pay for. The check in process was very smooth with someone able to help me and multiple kiosks to self check in and print keys. They also offered early check in 4-5 hours before checkin time for a fee which was appreciated.
